This project is a collaboration between public health and academic partners in order to protect communities from infectious disease threats. To do this, we have established a network centered on initiatives that will translate academic research and improve molecular epidemiology practice and epidemic response.
My lab is in charge of designing and testing a long reads-based sequencing technique (dubbed the HiFiCo-Seq) on respiratory virus panels. The method allows for full-length genome sequencing and the assembly of co-occurring viruses.
